What WE DO

A 501 c3 non- profit organization supporting youth and families who are at risk of not meeting their full potential. We link families to community resources and offer innovative programs for youth, ages 7-18, that are designed to strengthen their social and communication skills. Studies show that enhancing social and communication skills in youth has a positive impact on their productivity, self- confidence and ability to better manage their emotions.

HOW WE DO IT

The Social Set. Our signature program is called The Social Set. Social Set is a youth-driven group workshop that gives youth (ages 10-15) the opportunity to exercise their critical thinking and communication skills through innovative group activities. All group interaction is designed by devoted community workers and social service professionals to be fun and transformational. And because Social Set is our central focus for now, all mentorship and parental support services will revolve around the evolution of this one-of-a-kind initiative.

OUTCOMES

The most common feedback we hear from our participants and their families is in the youth’s ability to better manage difficult thoughts and interactions on a day-to-day basis. Having their social and communication skills developed within Social Set equips them with the social tools to be efficient problem solvers, work better in team environments, and assume leadership roles in their community.
